I am continuing to see new 4200-4700 series John Deeres arrive at my local dealer with both kinds of front axles. Now I'm confused - which is the new axle?1) An axle with a single acting cylinder connected to one wheel and a long tie rod that goes over to the other wheel.2) An axle with a dual-ended cylinder attached by the barrel to the axle. Each end of the cylinder is attached directly to a wheel - no long tie rod.I thought the new axle was #2, but I am seeing more of #1 on these new tractors.Could someone please clarify this for me?Ed
