Considering of purchase of either TC45D with super steer, 4x4, loader, hoe --or a Deere 4600 similiary equiped. Any one with pros or cons speak up. Looks like the Deere loader lifts more lbs than the Ford but see lots of messages here about axle problems. Plan to use machine for landscape business. Ps-- for those looking for a pricing service check out http://www.ironmax.com they submit your equipment out to 100's of suppliers interested in bidding on your machine.

My 4600 is great! People blow that axle thing out of proportion. Sure it will cut the turf if you don't slow down on turns but it is nothing that will stop your production hours of the machiine. I think it's wise to get the rear wheel weights if you plan on any loader work with dirt, gravel, etc. or plan to keep an implement on the back. The hydraulics have no problem picking the rear end off the ground. Hydro is a must for loader work. Forks (pallet) are awesome for moving odd ball stuff around and I have yet to install the third valve because didn't want it on the fender. I will mount it down where the three point lever is. Any questions about the 4600 you have and I'll go home and drive it to check t out for ya. ....

Most owners love their equipment. I love my TC40D w/supersteer and 17LA loader. Almost bought the JD4600 until I saw the TC40D.
The NH 17LA loader protrudes further out front from the tractor to allow for the supersteer. This protrusion allows for better visibility of FEL work (combined with the sloped hood) and is the reason for the lower lifting capacity. The lifting capacity was engineered for safety reasons due to increased leverage of the FEL protrusion. Even though the NH 17LA loader lifts "less" it has never had a problem lifting heaping full 72" buckets of gravel, stone, clay, etc.
I did not buy the JD due to reported axle problems (they seem to have resolved the issue now, just check the unit you buy first) and the fact that my wife like the TC series better.

I ordered the TC45D with super steer and 17 la loader and 758 C hoe. Also oredered a quick detatch system for the bucked and got quick detach Fork's so I can swap out fast. No dealers had this in stock so I ordered it and should get by Christmas. Also got 2 extra remote valves for a future Harley Rake and Grader Blade. Anyone know where I can get a used Harley style rake. Prefer the NJ/Pa area but would consider a net purchase from anywhere with some reasonable shipping? ....
