Does anyone have information (pro/con) on the quality of a JD 613 Rotary Mower? One JD dealer is telling me that the JD mowers are not made well and that a LandPride would be a better buy. (The LandPride model however was $300 more expensive than the JD613) Thanks, Rich. PS. I have posted this same message with a incorrect subject title, please excuse the prior posting.

Richard, I have never owned a 613. I have owned a 413 and used it with a 755. It would cut very light brush ok, but the metal got bent and dinged easily. The JD 13 series is a light duty cutter. I now own a JD 4700 and have a JD MX6 cutter and like it very well. It is a med. duty mower. Depending on what you want to cut, IMHO, JD makes the best med. duty mower and Woods make the best HD mower.

JD 13 series cutters are junk. They will only hold up to cutting grass (not an tougher than a finish mower). Check out Bushhog brand. ....
