Bought new T1520 tractor from dealer in NY. Dealer/technician heard noise in motor and promised brand new engine if noise didn't clear up. Long story short - I now have the same tractor with a REBUILT motor and the noise is still there, just more sporadic. We have visited other lots and found 1 other T1520 on the lot with the same noise in the motor. This tractor has been brought out back and the loader removed, which tells me they are trying to work on it... Will that dealer sell that new tractor to someone with a rebuilt motor as well??? Has anyone else (owners or dealers) had or know of this same problem? Any suggestions?

Are you sure you have good oil pressure (checked with guage) and are using proper oil (not too thin)? ....

Depending on the noise it is common to fix just the problem not to just replace an engine. To have a rocker arm failure or for lack of proper adjustment to replace a 4,000 dollar engine doesn't sound right to me! ....
