After writing a recent post about my JD 4300 and how it only has 50 hrs on it I got to thinking that maybe I don't need to have all that money tied up in a tractor that I use so little. Seems like I mostly use it for mowing/bushogging a couple of acres and moving stuff around with the loader now and then. So I'm thinking about selling it and maybe buying something smaller and cheaper. I never see any 4000 series for sale in our equipment trader though, so I'm really not sure whats a fair price to ask for it, I'm hoping someone here can give me some advice. It's a 4300,4WD,Hydro trans, with 430 loader, bought last year and only has 50 hours.Any thoughts on what a fair asking price would be?Mike

There is a JD 4400 posted under "classifieds" at the top of the web page for $18,750. You might need to extrapolate a price for yours based on different equipment, etc. and I don't know if that one sold for that price. I think there is about a $1,000 difierent in the new price of a 4300 and 4400. Somebody else may know for sure. ....

Does your tractor have the new or old style front end? I am thinking about getting a 4400 or 4300 with a front end loader. If it has the old style front end it might be easier for you to get it fixed before you sell it. If anyone else is thinking of selling a JD about this size please email me. I just sold my 655 and I'm looking for something a little bigger. I would concsider an 855 or 955 with a loader also. ....
