you guys got me interested in these yanmar tractors.
iam going this afternoon to pick up my first one.
its a 1610d with a new loader and finish mower and
boxblade. payed $6200. i looked at it last friday and
test drove it. it has a strnge way of shutting the engine
down, by quickly moving the throttle to idle. turning the
switch to off doesn't shut motor down. what is the correct
way to do this? thanks.

Many of the older tractors had a mechanical linkage connected into the throttle for shut down. You might run into a cable shut off that will also cut the fuel. ....

i need to start looking for a tiller for this tractor.
any one have any experience with these. like what size
i need? thanks. ....
