I have a 2004 BX23 TLB with 148 hours and I am experiencing a problem with shifting from low trans. range to neutral. It shifts fine from high to neutral, but low to neutral is a challenge. I try pushing the HST pedal a little or the brake pedal as instructed in the owners manual but neither seems to help. I have to keep trying by lightly giggling the lever back and forth which eventually results in it shifting, but sometimes that takes quite a while. Does anyone know if there is an adjustment that needs to be made and/or what else might help with this. Thanks for any help.

Check the free play of the clutch pedal. There is usually an adjustment for the amount of free play in the clutch. I've spent the last two weekd screwing around with mine. Your owners manual will describe the adjustment procedure and the amount of free movement that is allowed. ....

Being the vintage that it is I would hope that it isn't the shafts setting up for the range. Do you find it tougher in four wheel drive or about equal? ....

Two or four wheel drive is the same. I thought that might have something to do with it so I've tried changing it while in both 2 and 4 WD and it does not seem to make a difference, still as difficult. ....
