Just bought a JD gator, The secondary clutch spring is shot so I ordered a new one. I am told the bolt that holds the pulley on may be a right or left hand bolt. It has a L on it does that mean I turn it clockwise to loosen? I do not want to snap it off

If a 13mm sockett will take it off it's clockwise to take it off. If it's larger, it's a normal thread............. ....
