What is the true advanatge of a turf tire over an industrial tire? Unless I am on a golf course I see no use for them.
An industrial tire in a residential yard would be fine as long as you take a little extra care in your turns...

The turf will give you more traction on ice then an industrial tire, it wil not leave an imprint on turf. For the most part it will give you more traction then an industrial tire. ....

Depending on the exact turf to industrial the industrials normally are more money and for good reason. The industrial tires normally have far more ply's built in and are a tougher tire. Not only do they carry a load better but they give a rougher ride on hard ground. ....

The other place a turf excels over an Industrial (R4) tire is on sand or very loose soils.
In very dry conditions an R4 will tear up overly dry browned out turf, where in almost every case a turf tire will leave it untouched.
Best of luck. ....
