Hi folks, I'm a new old tractor owner. I bought a JD4200 2WD 600hrs with loader, box blade, bush hog, and finishing mower. When mowing the PTO disengages on its own every so often. I wind up just keeping pressure on the lever with my hand but its getting old. Does this sound like a linkage problem that I could fix or something more serious?
Thanks

It sounds like you are not fully engaging. It should push thru a detent. Try pushing it all the way.
If you are already doing this then it may need adjusting. You will have to check a manual. ....
