I am looking at purchasing a new TC29 with live PTO and loader. The dealer price is $15,900. This will be my first tractor. I will also want to add a 5'mover and box blade.I've looked at the Kubota and John Deere, but the NH dealer is the most convenient. All the products looked great and similar prices. What do you think?

I bought a TC29S with Live PTO, calcium-filled R4s, deluxe ROPS and 3pt hitch, 7308 FEL, and engine heater for $14,900 from a dealer in upstate New York in April 2000.
I'm very happy with the tractor. It's more than capable of driving a 5' box blade and a 5' bush hog. Hope this helps. ....

I bought my TC29S with R4's, deluxe 3ph, folding ROPS, and live PTO for $12,800. Figuring about $3000 for the loader, you're getting a similar deal. I'm very pleased with mine; use it for hauling rocks, gravel & dirt in a 3ph scoop, and mowing with a 5' 3ph finish mower.

Charles, I have a B2710 Kubota, but my cousin has a TC29D with a 5' brush hog, a 5' box blade, a 62" tiller, and a post hole digger. Nice tractor and implements. They work well together. ....

Charles, how they compare is a little tough. I have ag tires (R1) and he has industrial (r4). Overall, I'm a little partial to my Kubota and he's probably partial to his New Holland. I like my front end loader better than his. It's quicker and easier to remove and put back and I don't need a bungee cord to hold the long hoses like New Holland comes with. I don't like the location of the joystick as well as on my Kubota. I'm just a tiny bit partial to 4-cylinder engine over the 3-cylinder his has (although I've had both). I like his telescoping lower links that I don't have (the B2910 has them). The knobs on the levers on the fenders are a nicer shape and feel on the New Holland. I like his swivel seat (mine doesn't swivel), but I like my arm rests (his doesn't have any). They both have brake pedals on the right, which is an inconvience for some for brake steering, but I can use brake steering if I'm using the cruise (you have to hit both brakes together to release the cruise), whereas on the New Holland you can only use brake steering one direction; hitting the other brake pedal releases the cruise. My Kubota has a very small tool box under the seat. His New Holland has a slightly larger one mounted behind the seat and it rattles to beat 60; mine doesn't. He has a fold down ROPS, mine is fixed. I like the bigger tires and wheels on the New Holland (I've forgotten the size, but they're bigger diameter wheels). His emergency flashers/turn signals are mounted outside the ROPS, but are spring loaded so they can swing away if they hit something. I like my firmly fixed ones inside the ROPS better. His New Holland has a higher capacity hydraulic flow (mine's more than adequate), but it also takes a lot more oil to change the hydraulic fluid. I like my rubber pads on the pedals; his is just metal. His has two spin on hydraulic filters and no strainers to clean. I have one spin on filter (the new B2710s have two) and two strainers. I have more work to change mine; he has more expense. Just off hand, that's all that comes to mind. He was going to buy a tractor like mine and I suggested he try a New Holland and John Deere and buy the one he liked best. So it really all boils down to personal preferences; either one is a good machine and will do the job. ....
