Uh oh! May have made a grave error by purchase of Massey 1040 this past summer, I did not do my home work, and found only later that this model in fact seems to be a rare breed, manuf. only between 1984-86?
I have been unable to locate any parts, service manuals, or even catalogs that list this model for maintanence parts.Only two of the at least four filters needed.
This machine included a loader, backhoe, and was garage kept with only 320 hours on it, at $6,900,I thought I was doing good, but am I in a pickle or will I be ok pending a supplier of parts?

I would hope that Agco would back their tractors, I can get nearly anything for my 45 year old MF 65. I think the 1040 was a Hinomoto, but has Toyosha engine. I read that Toyosha went bankrupt, so parts might be hard to find. From what I can read on the net they have parts available. One person said he had whole engines. There are a number of dealers on the west coast that stock parts for Hinomoto, if you are stuck I would phone them. ....
