We have a Long 510 with a new rebuilt motor it's leaking oil from the bell housing about the hight of the oil filter. There is a indention in the bell housing that looks like it was put there for that reason. Does anyone know why it would be leaking oil (motor oil) from there or where it is coming from

The rebuilder may have tried to get away with reusing the old housing gasket. If you know who did the work you could challenge them on that. ....

I assumed that the housing would have had to be separated for the exchange, but if not, sorry, I don't know. ....
