Kubota BF400

I've been looking for a used Kubota for awhile now and I've gotten reasonably familiar with the various models. Today I saw a BF400 for sale, does anyone know anything about this model? I've been told it is identical to the L2550 but I wonder if it is possible to tell the approximate year from the model designation. Any help or info on this would be appreciated.

I always thought it was a loader, huh. It does fit the L-2250 and several others in that range but I guess someone else did there homework.

You're absolutely right, it is a loader which happens to be on a Kubota L2550. Apparently the only data plate visable on the machine was the one for the loader and it was in bad shape. I knew someone would come up with the info I needed and it was pretty easy to find once you came up with loader. Thank you Mr White! Now I can be sure of the specs I look up. Surprising how hard it is to find the HP and transmission on a BF400. ;_) ....

Now that we are getting a little closer there were several tractors that the loader will fit. Some worth more than others as it will also fit a L-2050 or there economy tractor. When you walk up to the tractor on the left hand side, Kubota has the serial number and the model number stamped into the side of the transmission housing. ....

Thanks Mark, I actually was hoping on just a game show hostess but I guess I'm not in the right league yet. Guess I'll just have to keep picking the doors. ....
