In the last week I have been on the Tractor almost everyday for a couple of hours either blowing snow or trying to scrape compacted ice and snow with the rear grader blade. Each session runs me just under 2 hours... that's enough to make me ready for a cup of coffee :-)
What have you done lately?

Yesterday out two times on the drive. Midday to try to scrape some more of the compacted snow and ice. Then again at dusk to scrape just before it freezes, going to be a daily ritual I am afraid.... ....

Dennis,
I've put about 70 hours on my Kubota B2920 so far this winter.
We received our first snowfall just after Thanksgiving. None of it has melted as of yet, and we just keep getting more of it. On top of that, the wind has been howling, blowing in snow drifts up to 6 feet in height.
I've used my Kubota to blow off sidewalks, parking lots, and driveways. I've also used the rear grader blade to make quick work of the light snows we get from time to time. The loader comes in handy for hauling firewood to the house when the basement storage bin runs dry.
The loader works well in those areas I'm not familiar with. I'm always afraid of hitting a bird bath, or something of that sort with my snowblower, when I enter a yard I've never visited before.
My biggest fear is running somebody's poodle through the snowblower! The loader allows me to keep a careful eye out for pets and such, and the hydro transmission allows for very gentle speeds and instant stops.
Joel ....

Its been a tough winter. Just scraped off the last of the ice off the drive and finally down to pavement. With the thaw was able to blow some more of edges back.
Candoarms, I am being extra careful with the snow blower this year, with the ice we have had, I could easily fire a chunk through a window in the house :-(
The ice has been so solid that I bought 10 shear pins at the start of the season, used 4 so far this year alone. I can usually get through a season with no shear pins use.
Looks like with he warm weather in the forecast I will not be getting any saddle time for a while. Not long until the change over at latest April 1 for me or sooner if the March forecast are good. ....
