I am new to the site and tractors.
I recently bought a Kubota B-21 and I have used the backhoe a dozen times. Ist I'll say the B-21 is a beast for its size. Has not let me down yet.
However I just hooked up a box blade and found that the lift arms wont raise or lower. The control lever when moved to any raised position just falls right back to 1. Looking at the linkage it does move at the bottom of the control lever. I can move the lift arms by hand and when doing so the linkage of the control lever will move a bit. I have turn the knob to both open and close which it moves in and out about a half inch and still nothing on the arms. As I mentioned when I move them by hand I can hear hydraulic fluid being pushed and pulled through, but not sure what it wrong. any thoughts?
Thanks for the help
Dan

First welcome to TP.
Not familiar with that model but some general thoughts. There probably is an issue with the pressure somehow not going to the lift arms after you removed the backhoe. Is there a valve you need to change, a lever to move, a bypass to be selected or such?
The lift arms are not disconnected or locked in place for the backhoe in any manner are they?

Thanks for the reply. I just finished fixing it and found that I made a stupid mistake. After reading the instructions again I found that I never attached the return hose to cycle the hydrolic fluid. Connected the hose and made some adjustment to the box blade and all is working great.
I'll never tell my wife because all I'll here is "I alway tell you to read the instructions".
Thanks for the reply though. ....

What you were doing was testing the system to be sure it operated as it should per the instructions. Right? LOL ....
