I am in the process of purchasing a 2004 3054 TLB in Maine, then hauling it to Vermont. Anyone have a suggestion for the cheapest/best way to make this happen?

I'd like to pick the trailer up in Vermont and drop it at a 'Local' dealer (someone who services Newfane Vermont). Have the dealer update service on the tractor then deliver it to me in Newfane.

Anyone have a recommended dealer in the Vermont, Mass, NH, NY region?

If you have room to store it, a trailer doens't cost much (if you buy it right), hardly depreciates, and costs little to licence and insure. Then your transport is free, and you can easily bring it for service where you want (there's lots of Kioti dealers) and wherever you might like to bring it to do some work.

How many miles is it from your point of purchase to your home?
How fast will the TLB go in road gear?
With decent weather and good warning lights why not just drive it home.
A friend of mine's father once drove a Farmall "H" from central Nebraska to North East Iowa,it took him two days. Another local fellow used to drive a John Deere 4430 tractor with a stacker to and from a farm he has in north central Missouri from Northeast Iowa twice per summer. If he left here at daylight he would be to the Missouri farm before dark.

Have looked at that option but don't really have space to store the trailer, nor truck that can handle the give of the tractor & implements. Hoping it doesn't come down to renting heavier truck and buying trailer.

Frank;

Have thought about but it is a brutal winter here in New England and really don't want to taken a chance of something happening while on the road.

I'm looking at seeing if a flat bed wrecker can deliver it.

I'd find the dealer you want to use, then ask them about it. Every dealer has a roll-back truck or truck & trailer of their own. They could meet you at the pickup spot, then haul it to the dealers yard for service and to your place when done. Since they aren't in the haulage business they're usual cheaper too.

Best of luck. ....

Hi Murf;

Thanks for the feedback! I've sent out a note to all the dealers and tractor service companies (Kioti or not) and am waiting/hoping for feedback from them.

The trick is to get the tractor from the sellers property to meet point!

Thanks again for the reply,

Gary ....
