Howdy guys and gals,
I am considering purchasing a new JD 5205 tractor with the 521 loader with sync-reverser tranny. Does anyone have any experience with this tractor. I am planning to move dirt, light plowing, move round bales, and all around stuff at the house. I would appreciate any input on the JD vs: possibly a Kubota. I would prefer an american built product. I have heard many bad things about the Kubota hydraulics systems.
Any input?

The 5205/521 will be everything you expect. The trans you mentioned is simple, tough, and easy to use, not to mention the gears secection is great too. and you are correct about the hydraulics. the deere is best in class. We have had 0 troubles with these tractors in my area. About the only thing I will add is you will need rear ballast for that loader. I am not a big liquid ballast fan, but it is probably the cheapest route up front. considr a ballast box or wheel weights. ....

We run a 5105 at home and I have began to like it quite a bit. We had a 4500 before it and I was concerned about the non-syncronized trans on the 5105. However, once I got used to the A-R syncronizer, I liked it. Plenty of power, great loader, and awesome ride. Ours has the R4 tires and MFWD. Nice outfit.
