Anyone have any info. regarding ACQ pressure treated lumber and the effect that this new chemical has on standard nails/metal. I was told that if you don't use double galvanized or stainless nails when securing kd lumber to a ACQ PT sill plate that the nails will soon deteriorate and your wall will become unstable.

Use ONLY hot-dipped galvanized, stainless steel, copper, or silicon bronze fasteners on ACQ treated lumber. Steel bolts are OK only if 1/2" or larger diameter. Don't use aluminum in direct contact, see link below.
