Can someone offer any advise on removing the blade bar on a woods m5-4 rotary cutter? I have the manual from woods but I appears the entire project will rest on how hard it will be to get the blade bar off. I have a leaking bottom seal. I am planning on taking the gearbox off to replace bearings and the seal.
As I know I will be fighting years of resistance on the bar,, does anyone have any tricks or helpful hints to use when I am fighting rust and a stuck blade bar. Thanks

Good strong impact wrench helps. Much better than long handle wrench or pull handle. ....

When I did mine I took heavy welded link chain an bolted around both ends with enough hanging in the middle I could insert 36 ton hydraulic jack(homemade puller) it'll come off. You can get the manual to print free from woods. LARRY ....
