According to the news, Spain is about to crash due to the huge budget deficit and large-scale unemployment. Most of the european countries are struggling and suffering, while Germany is enjoying the prosperous, why is that? The loose currency policy or the thriving real estate?

Partly the relatively good compliance with the tax laws.
Mainly the work ethic with the industrial base (think of shopping for a German car vs. a Spanish one). ....

You know Auerbach you may be hit on a simple guide line on what the economy of a country is like: the quality of their autos.
And if no autos made there still a good indicator... ....
