I need front tires for Kubota L245DT 4WD, preferably good, used. I'm in Georgia, southwest of Atlanta. Where can I buy them? Should the front tires have water/antifreeze in them?

Used are probably dry rotted and not really worth mounting for the cost. I don't know of a reason to load the fronts unless you have extremely heavy three point hitch loads to carry all the time. ....

I am shopping for my first tractor, so don't know much about such things. However, during one of my discussions with a Kubota dealer, he told me that loading the front tires tends to be hard on them. ....

An L-245 is about 30 years old. Enough said about dry rot and yes I do sell new tires and I've seen the boys in the shop waste both time and customers money doing as the customer wanted us to only to be back in a week frustrated. I'd certainly hope that you have ample time to sell your tires and wheels. Industrial tires do have there place but it isn't as large of a hole as they are often tring to be stuffed into. I've seen both options eat them alive doing different tasks. ....

I tend to like the industrial tires that I got. They have the traction I need for digging and stuff, but dont tear up the turf like the ag's do. Turf tires just would not cut it for me. ....

ag's have the angled ridges on them they are identical to the large farm tractors, turf tires basically have little squares all over them, like on the dinky lawm , and industrials have wide angled treads, they look like those on the big front end loaders.

Hope that helps ....

1-3* My local Kubota dealer has new tractors with all 3 of these type tires on them

He also has a few new tractors with a 4th type of tire that has a tread design that is different than the other three.
Looks to be a cross or compromise between turfs and Ags or industrials.
Anybody know what they are called?

How do these fair compaired to the other three types?
Compared to the turf tires, bar/turf is somewhat rougher on the turf and might tear on really tight turns on loose turf while going around tree bases. Compared to the ags they have quite a bit lower tread height so they aren't as good in the mud to dig in but they have far better floatation from the width. The industrial tires are good for most all conditions except in mud. They are wide lower bar height non aggressive tread design with a lower bar degree then ag tires which hinders cleaning. The bars are also quite wide and unflexibe for normal ground covers to beg traction. The industrials are normally built for higer loads then a compact tractor can carry which can be good or bad as they also have the worst ride. ....
