I'm really telling my age now, but I do remember reading an article in an auto magazine about the Aurora sometime in the late 50's. Far as ugly the AMC Pacer wasn't far behind. Frank. ....

With the Daimler, frog face jumps to mind. I am not sure the 3/4 rear view is much better. Look at the picture post. What were they thinking of with the lines on the fenders? Considering the contemporaries, MGA, Sunbeam Alpine, AC Ace, Corvette, Austin Martin DB4, BMW 507, Austin Healey 3000, etc. No wonder they went into recievership.
Actually the running gear made it a true sports car, but what old Brit designed the thing? Friends of mine restored one, I am not sure the thing grow on you, they still call it ugly, although it cost them a mint. ....

Well, uhh, ahhh, hmm, I don't know. It's not as bad as some but worse than others. It was probably disigned by a committee with the good Father in charge. I hope they had fun doing it up. It surprises me someone in the church didn't go get it long ago. I sure would have. It is a one off and a little unusual after all and collectible. ....

I think that the car is like the art cars, a one off. I think that there is a world of hurt out there that is as offensive and sold some real numbers. For example see Post.
The Aztec need the full frontal effect to get the wretch muscle working. See Picture. ....

Ken beat me on the Pontiac Aztec. The Aztec looked like the entire production line beat it with an ugly stick the whole way.
The Mercedes 250 is goofy to me rather than ugly. But that last one is ugly. Just goes to show you the artsy fartsy types make interesting designs. Doesn't mean the rest of the world will get it. Look at modern art. I don't get that. Nope, surely don't. ....

The Anglia is not the only car. The 64 Mercury Montclair had a flat rear window that retracted. I was never sure of the utility of such as all it did was create a large wind in the back seat.
I am bummed my choice only rates 3 bags on the rating linked below. The Aztek and the Anglia are give 5 bags. I will need to write the manager of the site in protest. If you can read the descriptions without tears you are a better man than I Gunga Din. Laughter is the best medicine. ....

I don't know about the Edsel. It is only the horse coller grill that is bad. The final year 1960 did not look that bad. At least it is similar to the other cars of the era.
What about the Japanese abortions? eg. Toyota Will Cypha. ....

The Aztec or Element have my votes for ugly.
The Pacer was simply ahead of its time. If it were rereleased today, it would fit right in with the other eggs on the road. ....
