It looked like the 'bota 2710 was for me, but it is delayed due to the backhoe frame part not showing up... so I'm still shopping. I just drove a used JD 770 with only 125 hours on it... SST trans/70 loader/#7 hoe. Great shape. Asking $19,500, which seems at least $1,500 high. Any comparable info? I know that the 2710 is nicer tractor: HST trans and nicer user interface, bit more HP (but doesn't HST rop HP?). What to do, what to do?

I bought a 770 mfwd in 1994 with a loader, mid mount mower and 513 rotory cutter for $18000. I know the backhoes are expensive, but I'm not sure how much. But I love the 770 it does everything I want and more on our 140 acre lot. Hope this helps a little. ....

I had a 1998 JD 770 Loader/backhoe and was very disappointed w/the power of the unit. The front loader could only load a short dumptruck w/low sides. It would not pick up a full 5 foot bucket of dry clay. The backhoe is very weak in power. This hoe would not pick the back end of the tractor to move it around. It only had 140hrs on it and I sold it. I also have a 1985 Mitsubishi MT210D w/a front end loader. It has more power than you can imagine. It has picked up well over 1500lbs.I would suggest you trying out the JD770 before you buy it. ....
