I just got my Ventrac 3000. I was sold about 30 seconds into the test drive. This thing did "figure 8s" on a slope that my Cub Cadet can barely climb and that is too steep to even take my NH TC24 onto! It mows also flat areas better than either of the other 2.

I bought the 52" mower and the 48" bucket, but it will be a mower. We have some steep spots that the Cub Cadet was afraid to go on, the Ventrac eats them up. I'd say it will mow 95% of its life, the bucket will probably help do snow removal clean up after the bigger tractor blow it. ....

I'm not familiar with any of the Ventrac models. About how much is the unit with just the mower. I'm thinking of down sizing from 4 garden tractor mowers to 2 this year and maybe the garden tractor variety isn't right for me anymore. I went to their website and didn't see pricing nor a dealer list for Michigan. ....

I paid $9850 for the package. I think the bucket was about $900 give or take. So the tractor and deck should be under $9000. They have a 60" deck, I was told it is $300 more than the 52" I bought; garage space is tight so I got the smaller one. It mows MUCH faster than my Cub Cadet!!!!! ....

Thanks for the info! Does it have articulated steering? Does it tear up the lawn with that dual drive system? I was looking at the Cadet Z-Force mowers. These and other zero turn units generally tear up the lawn and aren't good on anything that is not absolutely flat. ....

It has a 16 inch turning radius, 4wd, articulated steering. It is very SOFT on the turf because the rear tires follow the same path as the fronts. I had it on rough turf last night and it did a great job. Royce Boyton is the Ventrac regional rep, his phone number is608 524 9699 he can find you a dealer. ....
