Leonard has contributed here for years and seems to be a good source. I believe that there are some commercially available links. Mine came as part of my 3ph forklift. It has loops for CAT II pins but bushings were supplied to sleeve the loops for CAT I pins. I’d just as soon do without the bushings, but like in many things, sometimes you just go with what you’ve got. I too sort of like the idea of building one, but I don't think I'd trust my very rudimentary welding skills for such an application.

Do you have the extra valve on your tractor now to use for the top link? They are expensive compared to normal cylinders. You are looking at prices in the 275. range for one depending on size needed.

I made one. Got a Cylinder, 2 1/2 inch bore, 8 inch stoke, the length i don't remember exactly but around 16 inches. To get the lengths you need just measure your current top link open and closed. Then went to TSC got the weld on pin attachments for the links, did that. Went to the Hydralic shop had them make me the hoses to the right lengths and off I went. Cost about $200. It is very handy. I already had the rear control valve so that was easy. To figure out the size you need Hope this helps.
