 Tool Crank for 3pt adj

Good morning all, what do they call the crank that can be used from the seat to adjust the 3pt hitch arms up and down? For the life of me I cannot remember what it is called.

Thanks much.

Hydraulics are typically used to raise the rear lift arms, gravity causes them to drop. This motion is effected by means of the "lift lever". That said, what type tractor are you asking about specifically?

Good morning Greg, I have a Montana R3644HST with both Lift and Tilt Hydraulic Cylinders. I took the manual screw type from the Tilt arm and put it on the other lift arm. The old manual adjustable one is the one I would like to replace with the one you can screw up or down from the drivers seat without having to get off the tractor to adjust it. Not sure if what I am thinking is what can be done with the from the seat adjusting gaget????

Thanks.
Bill

Dutch, if you can crank a self-levelling arm from the seat on any tractor you're one heck of a bunch more flexible than I am!! Smile

More power to you. I'd be adding in a hydraulic cylinder if it was an issue to me.

Best of luck.

Good afternoon Greg, well that kind of looks like what I was thinking about being able to do from the seat without have to dismount. Like Murf said I'm not sure my arms are long enough to reach the hand crank or not? I will contact AgriSupply and see if what I am trying to do will work with the product.

Thank you very much.

Bill

Good afternoon Murf, I know it sounds crazy but I did see something like I asked about years ago on old tractors? At least I think I did but a mind is a terrible thing to waste and I have done my share of wasting my gray matter!!
The Montana tractor only came with a two Hydraulic cylinder set up from the factory. I am using both of them right now so I would have to add another valve set up. I was trying to save a few dollars with the hand crank thing. I seldom use the manual leveling arm but would like not have to get down to do it each time? I will let you know how this thing turns out.....just in case!

Thanks

Bill

What are you trying to do? There might be a way to from the seat. The only thing that I can think of needing frequent adjustment might be a blade and they make them with cyls to rotate the blade and to angle it. As to adjusting those leveling arms from tractor seat having the strength to do so with load on them is another issue.

Good evening KT, I have a Hyd Cly on the one arm for tilting the blade. When I put the Hyd Cly on that arm the manual adjusting lift rod that I took off I put on the other arm so I could adjust it up and down by hand. All I was trying to do was make it a little easier to adjust the manual side of the lift arm. I am doing all this for my blade work. I cannot afford to purchase a blade with the Hyd Cly on it. If this will work with the Leveling Box lift arm good if not I will just keep doing it the way I have been.

Thanks
Bill

Bill depending on the blade you have you might be able to add mounts for cyl on the blade itself without buying a new blade.
