Looking to buy a "Long" backhoe model 1400 Sin # 2165 ASking $5500.00 CND, any info would be great on eng.size,HP,year it might be...etc,etc,etc.
This is what I do know; 1 new rear tire, motor 4cyl diesel reblt about 10-12 years ago before the dad passed on.(he owned it for about 25 years the son figured.Now used for snow removal only, by son, for mother. Not for sale, till now, wanting to sell.Runs clean no smoke, purrs nice.
I started it up on a rainy day...machine hasn't been moved in about 7 monthes...I've been watching over the fence.
Power steering,one stick front bucket control, two stick backhoe control.( john deere type I think as I run excavator in cat control and these are differant (great!).
Misc welding done on the front bucket arms and same on rear backhoe boom and dipper.
Cab on it.
Tool box, (I guess,)on the roof.
Looking for any info year,eng. size, quality of tractor.

Price is very fair providing it has no major problems like the pumps need repair or replacing, or axle or trans issues. Those can really spoil a "good deal".
I know nothing of Long itself. ....
