Just got hold of a Loftness 3pt snow blower off craiglist yesterday. Did a test run today in the old icy snow. I am looking forward to Monday.

Crunch,

They know how to make snowblowers up in this part of the country.

You'll love that Loftness blower. Congratulations!

That looks like a really well built unit, do you have hydraulic chute? Have fun on Monday!

No, don't have the hydraulic chute. Yes, it is a beast. It is very old, not sure what year. The tag says it is a model 721-C which looks equivalent to the current model 721-S which has a retail price of about $6,000. I paid $1,250 for this older one but the design and parts look to be the same.

I will only be doing my driveway and my neighbor across the street. All blacktop driveways in neighborhood. I had my first experience with pto shearpins. I picked up a piece of 2x6 in the ground around my house. No more of snow blowing the lawn this winter.

Looks like snowfall may be light on Monday. Maybe I won't be able to give it a good workout this year. Oh well, its an insurance policy against more snow. ....

That was always my goal to have a rear blower for the 4310, but new ones were getting pricey, so it didn't happen.
When we farmed I had a Case 1070, about a hundred HP tractor with a Westendorf loader and an eight foot blower on the back, so I knew what the loader, blower combination could do.
