NH 2120 1920 or Boomer Questions

I've been looking at the NH 1920 for some time and I believe I prefer it over the Boomer series because of the 4 cylinders, stronger 3 pt hitch and the older construction. I've also heard "rumors" of some problems with the Boomer series. However I do like the supersteer. Anyway, I'm now looking at the NH 2120, because of the increased horsepower. The weight increase is only 800 lbs or so. Does anyone have any experience with this tractor? I'd like to know if it has any inherant problems. I've heard a lot of good reports on the 1920, and if I would consider the 2120, I'd want to know it's about the same, but with a bigger engine. My primary use is general purpose, brush cutting, landscapping, loader work. Thanks for any information you can provide. I'd also like to hear a little feedback about the 33 hp Boomer too.

NH 2120 1920 or Boomer Questions

I recently purchased a NH 1925, 4WD, Hydro and have not had any problems after 30 hrs. I mow around 5 ac with Woods RD7200 and take care of 1/2 mile of gravel road. I also tilled a 1/4 acre of hillside this spring for seeding. So far, I haven't experienced any of the problems that Farminlady had with her 1725. We finally got some rain yesterday and I cant wait to get home and mow!!

I think I've been looking at the 1920's what is the 1925? I'm guessing it's an upgraded version. Perhaps I've got my numbers messed up. After a while it get's very confusing.John

1925 is the precursor to the TC-33; same horsepower, same basic features (minus supersteer). I bought onea couple of months ago - no problems, but still verylow hours. Love the hydro.

NH 2120 1920 or Boomer Questions

I bought a 4WD NH2120 several months ago with a Woods 1020 6' wide loader and a Gearmore 6' box scraper. Everything has been working out fine. At one point I had three tractors on my property during the rainy season because the loader for my 2120 hadn't arrived yet. I used the 2120 about a dozen times to pull both the other tractors out of the mud. When I did get the loader on my 2120 it was like heaven on earth compared to the other tractors. The Woods loader is great and the tractor handles fine even when I have the 6' bucket (over)loaded with material. It seems to have plenty of power for grading with the box scraper, although I can't scrape a full box load with the teeth down in some of the hardest soils I have on my property which is probably understandable given it is only a 42 HP machine. The only minor complaint I have is it is a little hard to shift between the low/med/high gear ranges. This will probably get better after I mash the gears a little more. The shuttle fwd/reverse and 4 speed shifter are great. I'd recommend it to anyone.
