Doesn t anyone like the TC35D for tilling loader work

New to this board and wish I would've found this before buying my TC35D, SS, 17LA & small ags. By the sounds of this board I'm hearing that this is a dog. Doesn't anyone think that this will till 3 acres with a JD 550 (50"Wink yeah right and dig 2000 peonies with a FFC 3' tree spade? Any POSITIVE thoughts would sure be appreciated.

I have a TC45 and I like the large frame size TC tractors.
You have a good tractor and I am sure that it will do the work you want.
Why did I buy the TC45??? I live in the mountains at over 5000 ft in elevation. At that altitude my TC45 will deliver about 38-40 real horsepower. This tractor works fine with that amount of power.
Personally, I like the standard 12X12 shuttle tranny, but that is a point of personal preference and there are more people on this site that like hydros, from what I can tell.
Enjoy your tractor. It will work for you.

I don't think you will have any problem with the tractor for what you are doing. My JD955 with the same HP and HST handled my 6ft disks and a 6ft box blade without problems. I could easily run out of traction before I ran out of power.

I don't really recall reading that anyone dis-liked the TC35 per se. Just opinions that it may be a little more sluggish being at the lowest power range for the larger tractor frame size. And various statements determining if the larger TC45 could be in the potential buyers price range.

On the flip side of the frame size debate are the discussions and history of the 33D equipped with hoe snapping the tractor in half.

I would say that with the size of your property and for what you will be doing it would more than meet your current as well as future needs and attachment add-ons.

Be happy with your purchase, some of us are still looking for replacements to their finicky 2N's.... $#%$#

You've got a GREAT tractor! If you were around this board before you bought, you might have gone for the TC40. That certainly doesn't make the 35 a dog. I don't see any reason why it won't competently do any chore you ask. To be honest, if you bought the 40, you might think you should have bought the 45. It just doesn't end. The usual advice is to buy the most HP in a size you can manage. Enjoy what you have.

Thank you to all who responded. I truly thought the salesperson sold me an inferior set-up for my requirements just like the last salesperson who sold me my used JD 755 with the 550 tiller and said "it will do great". Yeh right! Took me 30 minutes to do a 100' row with a cloud of black smoke afixiating me. The reason I chose the TC35D over the TC33D vs. JD 4410 vs. Kubota 3830 vs. Cub Cadet 7360 was the larger frame and better hydraulics. Digging my peonies that have roots up to 3' deep takes alot of weight and strength up front. Also, the price I received was the same as TC33D and Cub and lower than the other two. Throw in the 3 year 0% financing and its a done deal. Will inform this summer as to the time the TC35D takes for my 100' rows.

Peonyman: I use a JD660 tiller (60"Wink yeah right on a JD4400. The 4400 has no problem powering this size tiller, and your TC35D, with about the same PTO horsepower as the 4400, should not think twice about powering a 50" unit. I'll be interested to hear how the tractor does with the tree spade.
