TC30D intermittently blows main 30amp fuse. Only when key is turned on. If tractor starts the fuse does not blow. Any ideas? Thank you.

Sounds as if you have a naked wire someplace on tractor. ....

Cruiser48,

I'd look for a loose electrical connection. Loose connections cause a tremendous amount of current flow.

If you have one of those infrared thermometers, they work great for spotting the problem electrical connection, because high current loads also produce a whole lot of heat.

Start with your battery terminals and then check both ends of each battery cable. Check your starter terminals and make sure they're clean and tight. If you have a remote starter solenoid, check those connections too.

Hope this helps.

Joel ....

Joel, I hope you are correct. I had a hunch the wire that attaches to the fuel solenoid may be arcing. So, I disconnected it and reattached. Tractor started without blowing a fuse. I hope that solves the problem. I hope to use it after the storm ends here in Indiana. ....
