My local dealer priced the TZ with goodies like this:
tz25da w/ sensitrack $9700
3ph mower 60" $1619
atlas box blade $300
nh loader $3100
nh tiller $1600

Good pricing? He was singing the praises of stepping up to to a TC24...of course, he has one on the lot and has never seen a TZ25. Thoughts? Thanks!

I agree with Oneace, I have a TZ24DA with 89 hours. It's an excellent tractor but you have limits on ground clearance and lift height of the 3PH. With the TC you have more of everything, i.e, the 3PH lift capacity of the TZ24 is 700lbs and the TC24 is almost 1300lbs. The TC is a larger frame tractor. ....

The TC24s are a great value but they are about $2k more expensive and require a more expensive loader, making the combo about $3k higher. All in all, as I said, a good value but stretching the budget after adding all the implements. ....

Tractorbuyer, I understand where you are coming from, however, I would recomend the TC. A year ago I brought a TZ24DA, HST, with a 60"MMM, out the door for $10.5K. It's an excellent tractor but has its limits.

I wish I had gone ahead and spent the extra money to purchase a TC24. I have a 5' rear blade I purchased from a co-worker for $50 (cat 1), but had to modify it so the TZ could lift it more than a couple of inches, not enough 3PH lift height. I have been laying 8" ductle iron pipe, a 20' section weighs 640lbs. The tractor handles the weight okay, but I don't have the ground clearance to straddle the pipe without removing the mower.

On the other hand, if I had purchased the TC24, I would problably have wanted the TC29. Please heed the advice of others on this board as to purchasing the right size tractor. Dave ....
