MF 1220 HST fluid check

I know where to check the front axel.
I know where to check the rear PTO , but for the life of me, I can't find the spot on the side of the transmission case to check fulid level that fills from under the steering column near the floor of the cab.
Also are these checks done with the engine running and in gear or what?
