I don't have a wiring diagram but the easy things should be checked first, fuses, wiring and connections. Sometimes a rodent might chew through a wire, any signs of mouse activity? Could be a bad ignition switch, if the switch is easy to remove or get to it would be interesting to see what happens if you externally jumped the cranking terminal on the switch terminals. ....

all wiring is good. thinking it might be in some safety switch. It has me somehow locked out from the ability to turn on with just the key. I just got the tractor from a private party has 150 hr. in great shape. I have it about a wk and it was starting up immediately. then the other morning it would not start with the key... strange. ....

Could be seat safety switch. If you lift up the seat there might be a switch under there that you can jumper across to see if it helps. If that machine has an electric pto clutch (not a pedal operated clutch) then shut that off before trying to start it. ....

You have a bad connection in the wiring to the starter.

Pull apart all connections, clean them up & put them back together. It's a fairly common thing on tractors that aren't used frequently.

Best of luck. ....

thanks much for taking the time to advise of how to get my kubota to start by using only my key. I got an idea from a previous email to help me and he said something about the pto's . so I went in and reset by putting the tractor in neutral and then that reset the pto and low an behold that's what was keeping me from starting. It starts like a gem once again. thanks much. ....

It is also possible for those switches to get out of normal settings or postions. You would do well to get manual and find all safety switches. ....
