DK90 new. Clutch shutters in reverse with tractor in mid range gears. Very noticeable as tractor warms up. Does anyone have or have had this issue? Were you able to resolve it. Dealer says use a lower gear. Hard to do moving and unloading hay.

Shudder or clatter can have various causes but on a new machine I'd guess a seal-leak resulting in clutch surface contamination. Could be a lot of work to resolve but Kioti should be compensating the dealer.

If you don't want to accept the dealer's brush-off but don't know to exercise your rights (including a loaner during the repair), I'd consult a lawyer or at least a paralegal. ....

Idle is about 1000-1050. This would be easing back slowly trying to bearly engage the clutch without completely popping the clutch pedal. ....

Possibly. I'm trying to use the middle range and ind 3rd geR to allow me to excellerate are once I have picked up a bale of hay stacked double on a trailer, eased back enough to lower and turn, push the shift forward and excellerate are to stack the hay some distance away. I could use a lower gear but it still shutters a little but I would never seam to get the hay unloaded either in a lower series of gears or shifting back and forth. ....

Let me ask you this way, if it was a trailer load on a road would you start off in that gear with that load or in lower gear and shift up once you got to rolling?

If you did not have the load on it would it do the same? I do not know your tractor at all but with it having three ranges and it sounds like four gears unless you really have a heavy load or you are running low rpms would say something is not right. You are using like the middle range of ALL gears when you consider the ranges and numbers of gears right? ....

The tractor will shutter in that gear range whether loaded or not. Really need to be careful backing up to equipment to hook up. It does it less noticeablly in lower gears. It has four ranges from crawl low middle high with 1-4 gears. The shuttle lever will shift it from forward to reverse. Dealership and Kioti does not believe there is a problem. They say use a lower gear and let the clutch out completely. I asked if they have tried that procedure trying to ease back to hook up a mower or anything else. ....
