Hi. I am hoping someone can help me work out what is happening with my JD4400. It has a shuttle on the left hand side next to the steering wheel. When it is in reverse the clutch does not work and the only way to stop moving is to push it out of reverse. In forward the clutch works properly.
Is this normal?

I am not sure if I am understanding what is taking place correctly. Can you please provide a more detailed description of what is happening? It does not sound like the power reverser clutch is slipping. ....

How many hours on tractor?
Mine the linkages down through to the Transmission the pins in the universal break and screws up the shifting.
Also there is a 2 step procedure to adjust the clutch and linkages. ....
