I have a John Deere Gator 4 x 2 that has been well maintained, (garage and trailer kept) I started it this morning upon arriving at the 'job site' and it expelled thick white smoke for several minutes as well as oil through the exhaust. It left stains in the trailer, on the road, as well as in the cemetery we were working on. After running for a while, it abruptly stopped. No more smoke and no more oil. Does anyone have any idea as to what may have caused this to happen ad should I be concerned? Thank you.

Think the last oil change overfilled the crankcase. ....
