I need a new seat for my 4115. Four years of high altitude sunshine has done it in.
Deere wants $285+shipping. I don't know why I am shocked.........
Anybody know where I can find a decent quality aftermarket bolt-on seat for a 4000 series Deere?

They don't tell you, but most manufacturers, and TONS of aftermarket people, make a replacement cushion (padding and upholstery in one piece) that is a snap to change yourself.
Up here the standard yellow JD seat liner goes for about $40 but goes on sale for $25 - $30 a couple of times a year.
The liner is held in place with a steel lined u-shaped channel that is crimped on the edge of the seat pan, the liner is then trimmed to get rid of the excess.
Google sent me to the link below, wrong peice, but the right idea.
Best of luck. ....
