General question on using 74 front blade attached to the frame on a JD 4310 with 420 front loader. Do the mounting frames on the 420 and the 74 Blade interfere with each other? If so, then any down sides to using a blade instead of a bucket on the 420? And who is a solid vendor for a blade compatible to the 420?

Answering my own questions. A 4310 with 420 loader is not compatible with JD 74 front blade system. JD does make a BW14677 Boom mounted front blade for the 429,430, and 460. You can added a hydraulic angling kit. Waiting for delivery now. ....

Not being really familiar with JD's product line I am sort of stabbing in the dark here, but I take it a &$ FB is frame mounted, thus the lack of compatibility with a FEL.

If that is the case I would seriously suggest you look at mounting a blade on the FEL in place of the bucket instead, the difference is night & day between the two.

If you don't want to fab. it yourself, or have it done locally, you could buy one from Curtis, good units, just a bit spendier than the DIY version.

Best of luck. ....
