I'm in Minnesota and almost ready to "pull the trigger" on a new 4310mfwd with the following options; E-hydro, mid pto, turf tires, dual mid & single rear scv. Also with a 72"mmm and the 59" snowblower. The price quoted from my dealer is $21,850 plus taxes. Fair price?

That seems like a pretty fair deal to me. I'll have to dig up my paperwork to see how it compares. ....

I know you want to pull the trigger, heck anyone would be wanting to at this point, but I must ask, why not get the loader and front quick hitch blade as opposed to the snowblower? I have pushed on a ton of snow with a smaller machine (2210) and can't imagine what a 4310 could do. The blower option is spicy and most likely cost more than a loader plus quick front blade. ....

Deere2210, It's because I have a very long & narrow driveway that I have to "get rid" of the snow instead of piling it up. Also seems like whenever we get some snow, it's followed by lots of wind and drifting. So, "been there - done that". I sure did consider the front end loader though!! Thanks for your input too. ....

After having a loader I can't imagine not having one. When I responded last night I thought you listed a loader, but now I see otherwise. Not sure about the price now. What kind of mmm and snowblower is included in that deal? ....

Which turf tires are on it? Deere lists two kinds, the 4-plys are an extra $400 over base price and the 6-plys are $1200 extra. ....

Doesn't matter. I wasn't sure about the mower and snowblower but it still looks like a pretty fair deal, 15% or more off list prices. You might ask 'em to throw in the 50 hour service for free, or for free pickup and delivery for service. And of course make sure they give you hats! ....

Chief, I didn't remember that site but those are good prices! Still, by the time you add in the mmm and snowblower and shipping it would probably end up about the same. Never know until you ask though. Maybe they'd match those prices and Winterhunter could come out ahead.

I'm a big believer in having a good local dealer and think it's worth a bit more to deal locally. YMMV ....

I figure if he can get his local dealer to match or at least come closer to the L&L On Line prices; he is money ahead. At least he is armed with an idea of some competitive pricing. ....

The only gripes I have are that the battery vent acid into the radiatior/trans cooler so I have to wash the area down after each use, the pto & mid pto cannot be separately selected and the cheapo, chintsee tilt steering wheel mechanism. I agree with Ken; the toolbox could be alot bigger. Those are really minor gripes and over all, I love the tractor and am VERY happy with it. ....

Chief, I don't seem to have the battery venting problem you do. I keep looking for leakage or signs of outgassing but never see any. Maybe yours is overcharging a bit?

Ken, keep a VERY close eye on the battery compartment as you will not see signs of the outgassing condensate unless you are operating in a very dusty environment. Then you will see the tell tale signs. Otherwise you have to remove the grill and put your fingers on the battery caps to feel for moisture. Most do it. Unfortunately, most don't realize it until the corrosion damage is done. I am going to replace my battery this year with a sealed AGM battery. It takes a Group 22NF. ....
