Any particular reason you are preferring a 4210? They are kind of underpowered and in an odd ball catagory. For not much more, you could go with a 4310. I think you would be much more satisfied with it and they are much more plentiful than the 4210.

No reason actually - I asked about a 4310 as well and they couldn't find one of those either - I don't know ... Unless their trying to rope me into a new more $$$ 3120.

I can tell you this though - if I can't locate a 4210 or 4310 I'll be buyin' a Kubota for sure as I'm not paying for a 3120...

With the new series out, there will be plenty of people trading in their used 4000 series tractors. I knew how reliable those have been so I bought a used 4410 (87 hours) with 72" mmm for $15,200...no problems and really enjoy using it. It is still under factory warranty as well. There plenty of used, low hour tractors out there...if you are patient and particular, you will find an almost new JD pretty quickly. I agree...stay away from the 4210 (good tractor but a little light in the hp) and get a 4310 or 4410. Same weight, but more power and they have a few better features as well. Good luck...stick with green.

I really don't think that they are trying to "rope you into at 3120". The 4210 and 4310 have been selling quickly and they aren't making more. People see the 10 series as a bargain that has proven itself. The 20 series is more money and hasn't proven itself, only because it is NEW. That being said, I've opted to go with a 3720. Better resale value down the road and more torque right now. Good luck with your search.

I've had the same problem looking for a 4410 throughout Colorado for the past month. Dealers don't seem to want to discuss it but justpush me toward a 3520.

Back on 5-28, dklopfenstein indicated to 1999cobra to "stay away from the 4210 (good tractor but a little light in the hp) and get a 4310". I don't understand, the 4210 is rated at 28hp while the 4310 is rated at 31hp.....is that sufficient enough to stay away from the entry level of the larger frames and more hydro flow from the 4115?

I too have decided on the 4210 (for the extra hydro flow and more hp) over the 4115. When do you know or at what point do you know to move up one size or down?

I think the 4210 would do the job in most cases, maybe a tiny bit slower in some situations. Some folks are a bit down on it because 31 hp might be a little low for a tractor with a medium size frame. Myself, I think the sweetspot is around 25 pto hp for a mid sized frame.
