The Foton 404 oil change. Do you put the oil in at the opening on top of the valve cover that says oil or do you put it in the opening on the side of the engine close to the fuel pump that says oil? I put in 7.4 quarts thru the valve cover oil opening. Oil does not show on dipstick. 7.4 Quarts is what the specs say it holds.

our 404 has a four cylinder and the oil does go in thru valve cover Our Komodo Tractors are manufactored by Foton under our trade name Komodo we keep parts for 20 25 35 40 50 90 hp tractors if you should need anythink give us a call ....

Through the top is appropriate. But the Chinese spec is usually crankcase capacity. You then must consider the oil filter housing capacity.
Are you sure the other one marked "oil" isn't for power steering fluid? Anyway, how old is this tractor, how many hours, and are you the first owner?
