Well here's my question. I have a buddy who liked my truck and now wants to buy one for himself. He was going to wait and get an 04' but dealer wants to sell him an 03'.. dealer says he will give him a good deal.

From what I just read on your post I looks like your stating this truck comes standard with the v8 gas and diesel motor , what a deal 2 motors with one buy. LOL ....

Look up Edmunds.com they come in usually about right. Also when I bought my 2002 ( in the fall of 2001)F350 I shopped 4 dealers. The largest volume dealer one cut the best deal. I told him this was the 4th dealer I had been to today and would buy that day if the price was right. He dropped it right to the bottom and I drove the new one away. Got an excellent trade in too. ps. try shopping toward the end of the month when dealers/salesman are trying to " fill up " on quotas. ....

If your friend is a member of the EAA. (Experimental Aircraft Association) or joins and waits a year or is a member of an organization that is a "partner" organization with Ford. He qualifies for the Ford X Plan pricing. I joined and got my PIN# but decided on a Dodge Cummins. X Plan pricing is about 4% under invoice. ....

I worked every deal and could have bought the same truck in a 1 ton dually for around 30 3 years ago. I doubt the prices have risen that much. I joined the AL farm association to recieve added discounts. It is good to check every angle so you don't leave money on the table. ....
