I Have Cub Cadet 7274 4wd tractor, recently fron wheel pto falls off???
bolts in front with safety bolt but only slides in to the rear shaft????

When the rear one is placed on did you make certain that it clicks on with a positive lock. When installing you should not be able to just pull off.
You have to pull back the collar and install on the shaft far enough for it to make a positive lock. When that happens you will not be able to just pull it off. You will have to pull back the collar to pull it off the shaft. ....

HOWEVER this pto does NOT have the regular clip end as do the farm implements...
that connect to the rear PTO...
It is a plain spline u-joing that goes into the male plain spline with no hole for safety bold or a groove for the lock pin that you describe...... did I loose something???.I was thinking of drilling a 1/4" hole in the male spline tyo match the hole in the u-joing connecting to it....
Good idea or not ....
