Need source for replacement element for DB 780.
Dealer no help, neither was NAPA, though they tried very hard.

It doesn't surprise me that an air filter wouldn't cross to anything that an auto supply place would have--different story for oil filters though. I guess that if Case is part of NH it doesn't surprise me that a NH dealer might not be much help either.
I would be surprised if a dealer that supports Case tractors couldn't come up with a filter. I think there's a dealer in our phone book that bills himself as a Case dealer and I could ask about a filter. Might need a serial number if there's a N.A. vs. British issue. Irrespective of where a tractor was manufactured, parts can be different depending on what part of the world a tractor was built for. ....

I'm not familier with that model but there is a serial number break at 589189-K900218 is yours above or below? They were all built in England but many companies had different models and features depending on north or south of the border. ....

Rich, if you came up with a filter please let me know. My friend Jean Claude in Canada gave me a Case #k913601 for that filter but could not come up with one here. I am beginning to think my 780 is a bastard. Tried Napa here and they came up with the wrong one. Tractor Supply also got the wrong one. I can't believe the element should cost over 20 dollars. US. If you have any information I could use please contact me. Terry ....

If that is true then it might be wise to go to a junk yard and remove one from a more popular tractor and modify it to fit. The thing to try to find is one with the same size hose so yu only need to modify the bracket that holds it. I have not tried our parts department to see if we have them available. ....
