You all need permission to build a porch or install a Hot Tub?? I guess my worries are smaller than originally thought.<br>
If I own my own house, I do not have to have any of my work inspected. I have had wiring done, a porch built, and basement dug out. Out buildings built and a Sugar Shack built. No inspectors only listers who try to come snooping around and I tell them they have to leave. You DO NOT have to allow any Lister onto your property here and if you don't you will get an AVERAGE Listing for everything. That may well be an added bonus and for some it can raise taxes if you have Below Average and they grade you for Average. <br>
You all seem to have Socialism at work when City Governments are telling you what you can and can not do with your own land. Try this " defination of OWNERSHIP is to deprive others of usage and enjoyment of said property" I looked it up years ago in a Websters Unabridged Dictionary that was about 75 years old and a foot thick. I went to a Town Meeting where the Town was trying to tell a Property Owner that he could NOT operate a Slate cutting business on his land (I live in the sticks) so I gave them the quote and then said "If the Town feels they can deprive Jim from operating his Slate cutting, then they are depriving Jim usage of said property. In that case the Town would be considered the OWNER and since the OWNER of said Property has to pay the Property Taxes, the Town needs to consider how they will get their taxes paid. Dsicussion soon took on a New outlook. Sometimes people need to be told they do not have the power they assume they have. If you allow them to execute self proclaimed powers, then YOU lose. Yes! I know Zoning is an issue and has been since the 1700s. Zoning is to protect others from forced devaluations NOT to give others unchallangeable control of your property. If the landowner is not going to contaminate the Land, Water or Air then whose business is it anyways? Why do some people feel they know best for someone else? If you don't like my land, MOVE.<br>
Have you all been paying attention to the changes in Eminient Domain Laws across the land, the new Laws that are preventing Local Governmets from abusing their duties? Many people sat on their hands and allowed Local Governments to just move in and take over. Now the spot lights have been turned on and sweeping changes are being made IN FAVOR of the little guy.<br>
When the Estate Tax Appeal was defeated, it was a leading DEMOCRAT who said "They owe it to the country that has given them the oppurtunities", it is that way of thinking that has turned people against government. The Voice of a single man who feels the money belongs to the Government and not the earner has made the Democrats look bad yet again. The Government is BY the People, OF the people and FOR the people and if we all just sit on our hands, then we get what we deserve. You all must challenge and speak up, demand proof, call a Spade a Spade and be open about your feelings. <br>
Newt Ginrich said that this Government was built on EQUALITY and that we do NOT BOW to Royalty and therefore a Senator is NOT referred to as Senator John Smith but as Mr. Smith or John, when the people add title to the name, they are putting government above themselves. They are handing the soap box to the elected REPRESENTATIVE. The ONLY person in Government that is called by title is the President and that is only for RESPECT, same as a person with a degree may be called Dr. Don't allow yourselves to be rated less than and you won't be.

It is recommended to use a Higher Voltage Power supply for LEDs. You are correct about the Transformer, Voltage Regulators which look like SCRs are used to keep the circuit voltage constant a Capactitors my be used to keep the drops from affecting the circuit. Permanent drops such as a bad alternator could cause your LEDs to operate below spec and make them unstable in performance. You may operate a 3 volt LED on a 12 volt power supply and what you would need to know is what to use for a Dropping Resistor's Ohms. The LED will Drop 3 volts of the 12 volts and you will need to dissipate the remaining 9 volts and to do so you will use a dropping resistor. What this means is this, it isn't altering the Voltage for the ramining circuit but rather for the calculatiing of the dropping resistor, so Take your 12 volts or Automotive with a good Alternator run at 13.8 volts (no draw or drain) and subtract the 3 volts of the LED that leaves 10.8 volts now devide that by the current of the LED which different voltage LEDs have different current ratings based on color etc. Let's use 25ma for reference. 10.8 devide by .025 equals 432 so you will need a 432 ohm dropping resistor to be sure the LED circuit sees 13.8 volts. What I do not remember is if that is Kilo Ohms or just ohms, been too long.

P.S. it has been 12 years since I left Tandy and done any real work with them. I have no doubt things have changed, I have noted LED Flashlites and not too long ago you would not be able to afford one, that was true with the Calculator as well. Demand in electronics brings Prices DOWN, unlike other market areas.

Very impressive response. It was of great interest when I read the section about Shock Load, just that paragragh alone gave me some Super Caution Info. I have used my CUT many times to dig up and move Boulders that would lift only half the distance of the capable travel of the FEL and then I would slowly move the Boulder to a dump area, which has been my property boundary and dumped, making a Rock Wall. I am glad I have chosen to go slow and steady and now I will be certain to do so.<br>

My Tach has a Orange Mark at the 2350 RPM ( I believe) and have ONLY used that Pre RPM setting for PTO Tiller work. <br>

There are Blacks in every country of Europe and they were slaves in about every country of Europe. You can tell a Greek from a Roman, a Turk from a Greek, etc etc. I can tell a Chinese from a Japanese or Korean. Cultural evidence of slavery still exsists in European countries, but War was among most every country there and at one time or another, every country ahd been at war with another. Here in the States our faults are more focused. We aren't surrounded by 50 countries that make up our history, our history is much more limited, much easily focused on. It isn't a maze of confusion as it would be with England, France, Spain or so many other coutnries.

You are right,<br>
You take the GVWR, subtract the Curb Weight, subtract all Accessories, subtract cargo, subtract Passengers and Beer, subtract add-ons and what is left is the Payload Capacity.<br>
So if your Truck has a 12000 GVWR and the Curb Weight is 7200 (dualie), that would leave 4800 lbs, now subtract the Fuel, the driver, the passenger, the gear, the case of Beer, the chain saw, the chains, the tow hitch, the dump body etc etc and you will find that the guy who buys the Dump Body that is a 2 to 3 yarder and then builds up the sides and fills it with WET DIRT or Rocks, has well exceeded his capacities and they yell when their warranties are voided. Your WEAKESS LINK is what the load is based on. It may be the Axle bearings, the tires, the brakes, the springs or whatever. Many people JUST FILL IT and never give any thought. Well..... when they head down that 15 percent grade that goes on for 9 miles (I-25 West of Chattanogga or I-76 going into Mount Airy or West of Ashville on I-40 or coming down the backside of Rocky Top etc) and they can't seem to stop to make that terrible turn.. well... imaginations can kick in here.<br>

You can go to the local Radio Shack and buy a package of inline wire taps. they will allow you to splice into a HOT wire without cutting it, no need for tape etc. all you will need is a pair of pliers to squeese the tap into the wire, close it, snap it to lock it and you are done. They come in Red and Blue and I think like 6 to a package. For wires from 24 ga. to 12 ga. for under $2.00

NO! Copyrights do NOT have to be applied for and paid for. That is the BEST way, register it with the Copyright office in Washington DC and allow them to search and be sure it is a clean copyright.
There is also what is known as a POOR MAN'S COPYRIGHT and it has been tested in the U.S. Courts and has won. been many years since I have heard about it winning, for I am no longer involved in the Industry.
Here is how a Poor Man's Copyright worked. Songwriters or even people who wanted to draw up diagrams and descriptions of their inventions etc, could do so, put the Original copies in an envelope, seal it, go to the Post Office and have them Validate the seals with their Post marks and dates, then mail it to yourself FIRST CLASS, RETURN RECIEPT REQUESTED. When you recieve it, DO NOT open it, file it in a Safe Deposit and continue on your quest. If you see YOUR Lyrics, or inventions used, all you need to do legally is provide unquestionable proof that you had the idea first. You provide the Sealed Enevelope, explain to the Judge what you did and let the Judge with witness open the Envelope. Musicains who could not afford to pay the $200 plus dollars to go thru the normal DC process, used this process and as far as I know and heard, it worked and was LEGAL.

Your dealer has it bass ackwards.
NO MANUAL, there will be an Automatic and there is a wait see on the Manual. Road & Track showed a Manual in their write up, but Manuals limit the customer base and D/C wants to sell them not show them. All the Internal Info so far is Auto and a wait see on the manuals.
How many of you have driven the Charger with the MDS Hemi? We have several here and I drove a Nice Black R/T and I will say, It was an awesome drive and not even a Flashback except for the name. The old cars were stiff and swayed as compared to the New Tech in their Namesakes. The responsiveness is Great as is the Handling. The Cars may resemble in appearance their ole namesakes but once you drive one of the New ones, it is the wishes of the past come true. Great Car, am looking forward to the Challenger and I have two sold. By the way don't expect any rebates, incentives etc, You will probably be looking at over MSRP at most dealers. There is a HIGH demand currently for the first productions and most dealers have their allocations sold and then some.

Be sure to list the Insurance Companies and what they cover in your Will. I have no idea if my Mom had riders for her valuables. Her house blew up in a Gas Explosion and we didn't find much. So it may be a comfort for you to have the Insurance, but should your house burn down and you die will your Heirs know where to look and what to do?

That will not solve the problem. Companies are NOT entitled to make profit at the expense of someones loss in security and privacy. People do NOT have to give up what is theirs for the sake of some companies PROFIT. MY God! what is being implied here? There needs to be limitations on the freedom that companies can take their intrusions into people's personnal information. There needs to be control, for Freedom is only yours until it infringes upon someone else's, then it is NO LONGER FREEDOM but INTRUSION.<br>
I had my information stolen with the Laptop from the VA, I have never bought anything form the VA.<br>
My duaghter has had her infrmation stolen twice, from different college computers. All her information, grades etc as well SSN was taken each time and the colleges notified her to change Credit Cards etc if she had any. <br>
It isn't about paying in cash, denis. Everythime you access a computer that has information about you, that information is vulnerable if not safeguarded. That I think is what the topic started off about.<br>
Gas cards, credit checks, ATM machines, Bank accounts, Store cards, DMV, IRS, Doctors, Hospitals and on and on all store information about you on a computer. It is NOT uncommon to transfer your information over the lines to another computer. <br>
Mailing addresses from magazines, memberships, shopping etc all have more than just your address. <br>
In our excitement to get everything on computer, we have exposed our sensitive information for the whole world to see and do as they wish. I can go to familysearch.org and find info on just about anybody, thru the Mormons none the less. For a fee I can go to ancestry.com and access criminal records, birth records, marriage records, death records etc etc. So without leaving my computer, I can pick just about anybody I care to and I can access tons of information about them and their families including a Satellite Image of where they live and thru Google a detail map of how to get to your front door or back door. Little software is needed and companies are thrilled to sell information.<br>
This is the type of information that needs regulation. We can work with the agencies we already have, we need regulation so while the Congress and Senate are arguing for months about their next move on Abortions, they can be drafting a solution to this major problem. It isn't going to cost more money, it will save money. Thru lack of regulation how much did it cost the taxpayers to send letters to all 2.7 million Veterans about their Info being stolen? how much for the internal investigations etc etc. i might add there was a Class Action Lawsuit pending for $1000 to be sent to each veteran involved, multiply $1000 times 2.7 million, look at what could be saved in this one example alone. Now if there was regulation in place and they were being followed, that Laptop would have never been stolen, the letters never mailed and the internal investigations never would have been needed. end of story.

He is cutting the Hay as a service to you and you are allowinghim to do it as a service to him. Have him make you an offer that he feels he should pay you per bale.
At least that way your field gets cut each year and you have a cut field, a clean field and some jing in your pockets. Don't look to get rich off of a hay Cut. Keep the relation with farmer a good one, he may sell you beef cheap or milk ir be around to return the courtsey many times over. People ar elike that, treat them right and the will treat you right.

There is a chemical called "POW" and it eats the Detergents and Grease that clogs the drainage of the field. I have NEVER pumped nor had to dig my Leech field and I use it twice per year, been here for 22 years. You may try pouring a gallon or so in and then give a few days, your cost about $25 for a gallon. Small price to pay for a possible solution. Hell for that matter pour in two gallons.

It is the Water that causes the Spitting of the Grease.
I freeze my Fish in Milk, keeps the Natural flavor and then I put them in the basket and lower the basket into the fryer, no splashing to speak of and over the top of the fryer I put a Frying Pan Screen.
I usaully cook my Trout in a Frying Pan, I first cook the back and as I do, I pour the Hot Butter along the spine with a spoon, I then cook one side and then the other. When done, If I cook the spine not too much but the meat around it is cooked, I take the head and peel forward and all of the bones come out fully attached as a skeleton. Works fine.
I prefer Trout fried in Butter, Bass baked with Orange Marmalade in the cavity and Perch Deep Fried.

I have had Alaskan Malamutes for many many years and being a direct shot off of the Wolf, they roll. Find a dead bird, they roll, find a piece of foriegn Sh-- they roll. My current bithc will roll on her ball or on a dead Lady Bug or even a Fly. As Peters said, I have no doubt it is to mask their own scent. Or baffle the nostrils off of anyone following them.
Some of you younger ones need to grab a copy of Cheech and Chongs old LPs and listen to FiFi and the Gum in the butt.
