The starter has a solenoid that pulls the starter gear into contact with the flywheel. If the solenoid does not have enough current, or is sorta stuck it spins. A weak battery or bad corroded terminals can cause this or a worn out solenoid.

On an old garden Tractor I had I used to smack it to un stick the solenoid.

Sounds like you are on the right track about jacking it up to check the tires, could have bulges and or flat spots on both which can give you quite a shake :-(

Surprised to see the WH Tax plan as just a one page proposal. With big news being 3 instead of 7 tax brackets. But no indication of what income ranges are in what brackets? <br>

This is the kind of proposal I would have gotten a D on in high school. I expect better from our Goldman and Sacks appointees.<br>

Great old thread. A dog's ears along with the nose are crazy sensitive.

Recently my dog was distracted and ignoring me completely. Then I thought what is his favorite SOUND?

He was over a hundred yards away out of line of site.

Brought his metal feeding bowl outside and dropped 3 kibbles into the bowl.

Wowwww is he fast for the right thing. Used Murfs technique when he was a pup, great advice...

You hold the switch to the warm glow plug position at all times on a cold engine. In the winter I hold mine for a count of 7 in the summer a count of 3. Adjust as necessary but do not hold it forever.

Second the blower with a nice warm Cab it is a no brainer and takes the traction issue out of the equation, and at 6000 feet you will be getting powder only I assume.

Not specific to that brand but most diesel tractors can run on 10w30 oil fine. You need to be diesel rated but synthetics like Mobil One that use are great!

Most modern tractors have wet brakes..that work off hydraulic fluid not engine oil.

It is hard enough to do the diagnosis and repairs yourself and then not be able to complete the work because you have to search all around for the parts you think you need.<br>

That is why I would rather buy a brand that I know will be around and is close by, and there are several dealers in the area.<br>

Have you done basic tests on the A/C system?

Does the refrigerant line coming off the compressor feel cold?

With someone in the cab and another looking at the compressor, can you hear the clutch on the compressor pull in when the A/C is toggled on and off.

Do you see air bubbles in the dryer viewer?

Could be you have a leak (hose,evaporator,condenser) or bad electrical switch issue, or compressor. Lots of places to be at fault.

I am curious about how the sparkplugs look after you attempt to start without starter fluid? Are they wet and black?

If they look ratty it is cheap to replace and eliminate from the list...
