Run a Google search on steel buildings. I bought my 24X36 from ARCO...very satisfied. I put right at $11K init turnkey. Due to need for lots of cement, etc. to raise the lot to keep away from our floodable creek, I had more than another 11K in concrete work, again all contracted. All I've done is the wiring.

1946 Farmall M...still own it. Also had a big Case LA w/5-16s plow and towed packer. Later bought an Oliver 55 with a loader. The M pulled 3-16s after engine mod and adding 2-way hydraulics. 7-ft sickle mower, Brillion stalk shredder, old Massey disk, a 4-row cultivator, JD grain drill, JD 12-A combine with Continental 2 cyl engine/6-foot table and reel, and JD 4-row planter. I'm age 58 and recall those days like yesterday....long gone!

The last pitman arm we made for the IH mower on the Farmall M, complete with one-way hyd lift....was made mostly with a draw knife and spokeshave - ash from the farm lumber pile up in the haymow....about 1965, probably.

If WI wasn't so far from VA I'd be on my way over with my new Bushmaster AR-15 Varminter/scope....I've been ithching to put it to work. A Ruger 10/22 will do, though. I get some here in my suburban creek bank with a Ruger MKII .22 pistol.

A few years ago on the farm we stumbled on a really good bait/poison. It was a pesticide called Furidan, long outlawed because it seemed to kill lots of birds, and anything else that came in physical contact with the purple granules. Varmints picked it up on their feet and fur, carried it back to the den where they dined on their last meal.... I agree with Yooperpete. My 1946 Farmall M has a canvas Heat Houser. It was made in NE in the early 1950s and still works OK, some patches at the canvas shop after hitting stuff....The small windsheild can be removed for "in-your-face" tractor operation! I ran google for it but only found a similar rig at: http://www.beavervalleysupply.com/sectionh/regal.htm<br>
The engine heat is more than enough to keep you warm. Drawback, of course, is not having overhead cover, but it may work with standard shade tops on the ROPS.<br>

I have some 41% Roundup concentrate left from the farm (sold). The dilution tables are missing. I need it for killing my lawn before renovation....yes, it's getting late but OK here in Southside VA. Does anyone know the dosage?<br>

Here's an old, unsafe way we pulled posts 50 yrs ago....Back the tractor rear wheel up against the post. Attach a log chain around the post at ground level. Run the free end of the chain up over the center of the wheel. Loop chain throgh the tire/rim at the top and hook securely. Slowly pull the tractor forward and the post will lift up with the tire....WATCH FOR THE POST TO HIT YOU IN THE BACK!

If you're drilling seed, just drag a chain behind the drill. We did for years with wheat and oats.

Broadcast seeding would need the harrow in my opinion.

Raised on a grain, hog, sheep farm....many moons ago.

Thanks for the offer Dutch. I may not need your old info. A dealer sent me this today: "The main gear shift lever on the LK3054XS has been moved to the steering column so that it is by your left hand. The front axle is heavier built on the LK3054XS making the tractor great for loader work. The shuttle shift lever (by the seat to your left) makes it quick and easy to change between forward and reverse, which is handy for loader work. The shuttle shift lever is in the same position on both the LK3054XS and LK3054."

Seems the differences make it worth looking very hard at the XS. What comments do you have about your 3054? Have you heard or seen any comparrison with the Century 2028 or Mahindra 2810? Is the Rhino loader better than the Kioti? I read very good comments about the Century C50 loader.

The M is a 1946 that dad bought after WWII. It pulled 2-18s. Then we bored and sleeved with M&W Crater Head pistons, stretched rear rims to take 15.5X38s and pulled 3-16s with 2-way hydraulics.

Maybe the Mahindra will become a new RED....
