Replaced LX188 PTO and the welded-to-frame pin which fits through the PTO coil housing, through an oblong hole by one of the 3 plate adjuster nuts, does not fit tightly. I don't suppose it could fit too tightly or you wouldn't be able to mount the PTO flushly.But it not fitting tightly causes the most god aweful wrattling of the coil housing against that pin. The pin is there to keep the coil housing from turning but how do I keep it from wrattling like crazy. The old PTO rattled as well. That can't be by design.Any input much appreciated, Thanks.

We were at the cabin and ran out of diesel fuel. it was either go 45 miles for a couple more gallons to finish the project at hand or the heating oil. By the way i did go get diesel fuel, i just wanted to know if the heating fuel is compatable as he said.

I have a ford 1710 with a woods RM600. I will say this I have had nothing but good luck with my mower bought it brand new in 1986. It will cut grass with the best of them but over rolling hills it lacks because it don't have any front wheels so it don't follow the terrain like a lawn mower deck. Needs to be good flat ground. If you get one there is an optional front roller that is the closest thing to front wheels for it. I have considered customizing mine and adding front wheels don't believe it will be to difficult.

Kodiak Tractors::Thanks for the info ,boy I have down hours of researh on this brand and have had a couple e-mails and I have found 2 places to get parts for this tractor,somewhat easing a possible buy.It also has a backhoe that the owner says was bought at "ace'did not say equipment,or ace hardware.Around here tractors seem to be really rare and premium priced.Thanks for the e-mail Scott

If anyone out there has any info on the tractor called "KODIAK" I would really like to hear from ya,Ican't find out who made it,who stocks parts.Someone I know has a kodiak tractor 1998 year,4x4 bakhoe,&loader,But I'm not going to touch it until I'm sure I can get parts for the darn thing ,,thanks in advance to all!!!!!

I am looking to verify the year of two FZ2400's. One has serial # 10534 Eng # 567457. The other has serial # 10335 and engine # 372551. Can the year be identified by these numbers?

I use Mobil 1 synthetic 0w-30 and it works great for the Michigan cold. The Mobil 1 is diesel rated and for the $4 or so a quart, it is definately worth it. When the engine starts, the oil light never stays on. For the winter, you can't beat synthetics.

I am currently building a pole barn and need to know if anybody has suggestions on lifting up the roof trusses? The pole barn has 12' walls and the trusses add another 8' so it must be able to reach about 22'. Since they are 46' long, they probably weigh around 100#. I tried 2 - 2x4x18 nailed together and strapped to my boom pole but this seemed too flexible and it eventually broke with about 100# of test weight. I would like to avoid renting a telehandler to set 9 trusses. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I have the skid shoes and a light duty blade for snow. I tried them once and decided that I didn't need them. Maybe with a HD blade it might tear up the drive. I you're interested, e-mail me and maybe we can make a deal. They are pretty universal and just use the cutting edge bolts. The link from ssb tractor where I bought them from is below.

I got a response very quickly after my post. The only problem for me was the cost of shipping but the price on the finish mower was very good. Even with shipping, it was a couple hundred dollars cheaper than buying locally. The poster is from easter farm machinery located in Canada.

Does anybody know where I could get bucket forks for a 7308 loader that do not require welding hooks onto the bucket. I would think it would be possible to just hook them onto the top rounded portion of the bucket but I can't seem to find them. Thanks.

Does anybody know what a reasonable trade-in price would be for a TC29D with a 7308 loader and a 60" bucket with a HD cutting edge be? The tractor has 80 hours on it and was purchased in July 1999. I'm located in Southeastern Michigan and am debating purchasing a TC40D. I'd like to get some opinions so I know if the dealer is in the ballpark when I go in. Thanks!

I contacted the WIX Tech Line# 1-800-949-6698 about a year ago and they told me that the hydraulic filter you are looking for wouldn't be put into production till 2000. I have been unable to find an aftermarket fuel filter? could you post the number, thanks.
